1. Service Description
WindAI provides an AI-powered wind resource assessment platform. Our service uses machine learning models trained on meteorological data (ERA5, MERRA2) to predict wind capacity factors for user-specified locations and turbine configurations. Results are intended for preliminary assessment and planning purposes.
2. Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal information from anyone under 18, we will promptly delete that information.
To use WindAI, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
3. Credits and Usage
WindAI operates on a credit-based system. Each wind resource assessment consumes one credit. Credits are purchased in one-time transactions and do not expire. Bulk credit packages are available at discounted per-site rates.
We reserve the right to modify credit pricing and package options with reasonable notice to existing users.
4. Refund Policy
If an assessment fails due to a system error on our end, the consumed credit will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds for credit purchases are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact support for refund requests.
Credits consumed for successfully completed assessments are non-refundable, regardless of whether the results meet your expectations.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer our AI models or algorithms
- Scrape, crawl, or automated-access the platform beyond normal API usage
- Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
- Resell or redistribute assessment results as a competing service
- Submit excessive or abusive requests designed to overload the system
6. Intellectual Property
The WindAI platform, including its AI models, algorithms, interface designs, and documentation, is owned by WindAI and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your input data (coordinates, configurations) and the assessment results generated for your account.
You grant us a limited license to use anonymized and aggregated assessment data to improve our models and services.
7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Assessment results are provided "as is" for informational and preliminary planning purposes only. WindAI does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of predictions for any particular purpose. Results should not be used as the sole basis for investment, construction, or regulatory decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WindAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to financial losses based on assessment results.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to WindAI in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your assessment data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
